About the Image Cropper

The Image Cropper runs entirely in your browser. After loading an image, drag anywhere on the canvas to draw a rectangular selection. A semi-transparent overlay marks the area to keep. Click Crop to apply, and the canvas shrinks to the selected region. You can crop multiple times in succession. Nothing is uploaded; all processing is local.

How to use it

  1. Click the drop zone or drop an image file onto it.
  2. Press and drag on the canvas to draw a selection rectangle.
  3. Click Crop to keep only the selected region.
  4. Click Download to save, Reset to restore, or Clear to start over.

Frequently asked questions

How do I change the selection? Just drag again on the canvas — each new drag replaces the previous selection.

Can I crop multiple times? Yes. Each Crop works on the current canvas, so successive crops compound. Use Reset to return to the original.

What is the output format? The download is a PNG file, preserving detail without compression artifacts.

Does this tool upload my images? No. All processing happens locally in your browser.
